Princess Anne Visits UCL as part of the UCL200 bicentennial celebrations, marking an important milestone in the 200-year history of University College London.
During the visit, the Princess Royal visited the campus and took part in several activities that celebrated the university’s legacy. This was captured in a video that was released by the university and the royal family to commemorate the special moment in the university’s history.
In a post shared on social media, UCL said it was honored to host Princess Anne for the special anniversary celebrations. The university said the visit was a highlight of the year-long UCL200 celebrations.
Princess Anne also explored the remodeled Quad, where she saw the commemorative stone erected to commemorate the bicentenary. She also met the team behind the organization of the UCL200 program, as well as the student and staff population within the University.
The royal visitor was treated to a preview of “UCL! The Musical,” a musical production designed to commemorate the history of the University. She also saw the “Two Centuries Here” exhibition, which features the people, achievements, and innovations that have defined the University of London in the last two centuries.
Princess Anne was able to meet some of the “Faces of UCL,” a program that seeks to recognize individuals who contributed to the University of London’s impact on the world.
