The investigation into the unfortunate incident of 3 women found dead in Utah has continued as authorities revealed that the suspect has been apprehended after a manhunt across multiple states. According to law enforcement reports, the suspect, who has been identified as Ivan Miller, 22, of Blakesburg, Iowa, has been arrested after he was tracked across multiple states.
The incident began on Wednesday afternoon after the husbands of two of the victims reported the unfortunate incident of 3 women found dead in Utah on a hiking trail in Wayne County, Utah. This led to the immediate response of local authorities, who began searching the area while investigating the incident. The authorities later found another victim at a residence located near the hiking trail in Wayne County, Utah, according to the Utah Department of Safety.
Although the identities of the victims of 3 women found dead in Utah have not been revealed, authorities revealed that the victims were believed to be in their 30s, 60s, and 80s.

The investigation carried out by Lt. Cameron Roden of the Utah Highway Patrol indicated that the old lady was believed to have been murdered first in her home. Her car was then taken and driven to a nearby trailhead where the other two victims were later found. After carrying out the attacks, the first car was abandoned, and another victim’s car was taken as the suspect fled the crime scene.
The suspect was tracked through southern Utah, then northern Arizona, and later Colorado as law enforcement agencies across various counties worked to locate him.
The car believed to have been used in escaping was later found abandoned in Pagosa Springs in Colorado. After a brief search in the area, Miller was found by local law enforcement officers. At the time of his arrest, police stated that a concealed handgun and a large knife were found in his possession. He was arrested and taken to the Archuleta County Detention Center.
The police indicated that no prior connection between Miller and the victims was established. Additionally, police stated that no ongoing threat exists as the investigation is ongoing.
