Significant developments were reported on day three of the escalating conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran.
It was stated by President Donald Trump in an interview with CNN that a “big wave” of US attacks on Iran is still to come. US objectives were outlined, including the destruction of Iran’s missile capabilities, the annihilation of its naval forces, the ending of its nuclear ambitions, and the prevention of arms supplies to militant groups.
On the ground, attacks by Iran and its allied proxies on US partners in the Gulf region were reported. The US Embassy in Saudi Arabia was targeted by suspected Iranian drones, explosions were heard in Iraq, and sirens were triggered across Bahrain. Strikes on Hezbollah positions in Beirut were also carried out by Israel.
All American citizens were urged by the US State Department to leave the Middle East immediately due to escalating risks. The attacks on Arab nations by Iran were described by Trump as the “biggest surprise” of the conflict, while similar rhetoric was echoed by Iran’s foreign minister, who said that the “American people deserve better and should take back their country.”
